Put out a fire yourself? Our QSHE Day made it possible.

Putting Out Fires—But How?

During our Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment Day, we got to experience firsthand what it feels like to face real flames with a fire extinguisher or a fire blanket. Putting what we’d learned into practice right away was a powerful experience that we’ll surely remember.

The theoretical part also made a strong impression. A video showed how quickly a single room can be completely engulfed in flames. Particularly memorable was the realization that we cannot rely on our sense of smell as a warning signal while we’re asleep. Dangerous smoke can go unnoticed as a result—and that’s exactly why smoke detectors can save lives.

We also gained further exciting insights into the work of our Impact Team as well as into the topics of EcoVadis and ISO14001. This made it clear what tasks are involved in evaluating and further developing our environmental and sustainability performance.

Between theory and practice, we enjoyed a delicious meal of burgers and fries, as well as time to chat with our colleagues.

Many thanks to everyone who organized, planned, and participated in this eventful day!
