Putting Out Fires\u2014But How?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

During our Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment Day, we got to experience firsthand what it feels like to face real flames with a fire extinguisher or a fire blanket. Putting what we\u2019d learned into practice right away was a powerful experience that we\u2019ll surely remember.<\/span><\/p>\n

The theoretical part also made a strong impression. A video showed how quickly a single room can be completely engulfed in flames. Particularly memorable was the realization that we cannot rely on our sense of smell as a warning signal while we\u2019re asleep. Dangerous smoke can go unnoticed as a result\u2014and that\u2019s exactly why smoke detectors can save lives.<\/p>\n

We<\/span> also<\/span> gained<\/span> further<\/span> exciting<\/span> insights<\/span> into<\/span> the<\/span> work<\/span> of<\/span> our<\/span> Impact<\/span> Team<\/span> as<\/span> well<\/span> as<\/span> into<\/span> the<\/span> topics<\/span> of<\/span> EcoVadis<\/span><\/a><\/strong> and <\/span>ISO14001<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0This<\/span> made<\/span> it<\/span> clear<\/span> what<\/span> tasks<\/span> are<\/span> involved<\/span> in<\/span> evaluating<\/span> and<\/span> further<\/span> developing<\/span> our<\/span> environmental<\/span> and<\/span> sustainability<\/span> performance<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Between<\/span> theory<\/span> and<\/span> practice<\/span>, we<\/span> enjoyed<\/span> a<\/span> delicious<\/span> meal<\/span> of<\/span> burgers<\/span> and<\/span> fries<\/span>, as<\/span> well<\/span> as<\/span> time<\/span> to<\/span> chat<\/span> with<\/span> our<\/span> colleagues<\/span>.<\/p>\n
